📢 Heads up, Connecticut cannabis users! There haven’t been major changes to possession limits, but there are some new regulations and enforcement actions you should know about.
---

🔹 Current Possession Limits (Unchanged)

If you’re 21+ in Connecticut, here’s what you can legally carry:
✅ Public Possession: Up to 1.5 ounces of flower (or equivalent cannabis products/concentrates).
✅ Private Possession: Up to 5 ounces, stored in a locked container (home, glovebox, or trunk).

💡 Reminder: Exceeding these amounts could still lead to legal trouble!
---

🌿 Home Cultivation is Legal!

🚀 Since July 1, 2023, adults can grow their own cannabis!

Limit: Up to 6 plants per person (3 mature, 3 immature).

Household Max: 12 plants per residence.

Keep it Secure! Make sure it’s not visible from the street.

🚫 New Crackdowns on Illegal Cannabis Sales

👮 Connecticut authorities aren’t playing around when it comes to unlicensed cannabis sales.

In late 2024, eight smoke shops in Stamford got raided.

Over 4,280 unregulated cannabis products were seized.

Fines and criminal charges were issued.

⚠️ Moral of the story: Don’t buy or sell outside the legal market unless you want to risk losing your stash, cash, or even your freedom.

🔹 2025 Law Update: Moderate-THC Hemp Products

Starting January 1, 2025, Connecticut is tightening control on hemp-derived THC products.
🔸 Any hemp product with 0.5mg - 5mg of THC per container is now classified as Moderate-THC Hemp.
🔸 Only licensed dispensaries or businesses with a DCP certificate can sell these products.
🔸 Stores need to prove that 85% of their monthly sales come from these products to get certified.
